Training Effectiveness Score
Average improvement in knowledge, skills, or behaviour measured before and after a training programme
What is Training Effectiveness Score?
Training effectiveness score measures how much learners improve as a result of training, using the difference between post-training and pre-training assessment results, or manager-rated behaviour change. It shows whether training actually works.
Completion tells you people attended, while effectiveness tells you whether they learned or changed.

How to calculate it
Subtract the pre-training assessment score from the post-training assessment score, or use a manager rating of behaviour change.
For example, if the average score rose from 55% to 80%, the effectiveness score is 25 percentage points.
Measure knowledge straight after training and, where possible, behaviour some weeks later, since knowledge alone may not change performance.
