Headcount vs. Plan
Actual headcount as a percentage of planned headcount at end of period
What is Headcount vs. Plan?
Headcount versus plan compares the actual number of employees with the planned number. It shows whether workforce growth or reduction is on track.
Being well above or below plan affects cost and capacity, so this measure helps finance and HR stay aligned.

How to calculate it
Divide actual headcount by planned headcount, and multiply by 100.
For example, if the plan was 500 employees and actual headcount was 470, the result is 94%.
Measure at the same date as the plan, and break down by department, so teams that are under or over can be identified.
