Referral Lead Rate
Percentage of new business leads originating from existing client or partner referrals
What is Referral Lead Rate?
Referral lead rate is the percentage of all leads that come from referrals, such as recommendations from customers, partners or colleagues. It shows how much of new business is driven by word of mouth.
Referred leads tend to convert well and cost little to acquire, so a healthy share is a sign of satisfied customers and strong relationships.

How to calculate it
Divide the number of leads sourced from referrals by the total number of leads generated, and multiply by 100.
For example, if 1,000 leads were generated in a quarter and 150 came from referrals, the rate is (150 / 1,000) x 100 = 15%.
Record the source when the lead is created, and separate referrals from customers, partners and staff, so you can see which referrers are most valuable.
