Multi-Thread Score
Average number of distinct stakeholders actively engaged per open opportunity, indicating deal breadth and risk
What is Multi-Thread Score?
Multi-thread score is the average number of engaged contacts per open opportunity. It shows how many people at the customer a team is in touch with on each deal.
Deals that rely on one contact are fragile, while deals with several engaged contacts are more resilient and more likely to close.

- Total engaged contacts across all open opportunities / Number of open opportunities
How to calculate it
Divide the total engaged contacts across all open opportunities by the number of open opportunities.
For example, if 50 open opportunities have 175 engaged contacts between them, the score is 175 / 50 = 3.5.
Count contacts with real engagement, and look at the score by deal size and stage, since larger deals need more contacts.
