Seasonal Retention Rate
Percentage of seasonal or temporary workers who are rehired in subsequent seasons
What is Seasonal Retention Rate?
Seasonal retention rate is the percentage of seasonal workers from the prior season who are rehired. It shows how well a retailer keeps its trained seasonal workforce from one season to the next.
Rehiring experienced seasonal staff saves recruitment and training time and gives better service in busy periods.

How to calculate it
Divide seasonal workers rehired by total seasonal workers from the prior season, and multiply by 100.
For example, if 400 seasonal workers were employed last season and 120 were rehired this season, the rate is 30%.
Track by store and role, and consider how many of those not rehired were unavailable rather than lost.
