Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)

What is Mean Time to Repair (MTTR)?
Mean time to repair is the average time it takes to fix equipment after it breaks. It shows how quickly a maintenance team restores production.

How to calculate it
Divide total repair time by the number of repair events.
For example, if 5 repairs took a total of 20 hours, MTTR is 4 hours.
Decide whether it covers the wait for parts and the diagnosis time as well as the hands-on repair, and keep the same definition each time.
