ABM Influenced Revenue
Total closed-won revenue from deals where the account received at least one ABM marketing touch
What is ABM Influenced Revenue?
Account-based marketing (ABM) influenced revenue is the total value of closed-won deals from accounts that received at least one account-based marketing touchpoint. It shows how much revenue came from accounts marketing had deliberately engaged.
Account-based marketing focuses effort on a chosen list of high-value accounts. This measure shows whether that focused effort is connected to the deals that close.

How to calculate it
Add up the closed-won revenue from accounts that had one or more recorded account-based marketing touchpoints, such as targeted ads, personalised outreach or a hosted event.
For example, if 12 deals closed in a quarter worth 900,000 in total and 8 of them, worth 680,000, came from accounts with at least one touchpoint, influenced revenue is 680,000.
Because it counts any touch, it shows association rather than proof of cause. Read it alongside the accounts' engagement and the sales cycle to judge how much the programme contributed.
Where it is used
Evaluating an ABM programme
Show whether the targeted accounts are turning into revenue.
Aligning marketing and sales
Give both teams a shared view of the impact on the most important accounts.
Justifying investment
Compare influenced revenue with programme cost to decide whether to expand.
How to improve it
Tips and common mistakes
- Influence is not causation. Many deals would have closed anyway, so compare against a baseline.
- Long sales cycles delay results. Review over a period that covers a full cycle.
- Small numbers of large deals make the figure swing widely. Look at the count as well as the value.
